According to the study conducted by the blog Asher&Lyric which ranks 203 countries in the world from the most dangerous to the safest for the LGBTQ+ community, 9 of the 10 safest countries according to different criteria are located in Europe. Don't panic, we have listed in this article some lgbt friendly countries where you can spend your vacations without any problems in the four corners of the world.

Which countries in America are the most gay friendly and open-minded to travel to?
South American countries often have a bad reputation when it comes to LGBT rights and community safety, but this is not true, many southern countries are open-minded countries!
Canada : One of the most gay friendly country !
Canada is ranked as the most LGBT friendly country in the world. Not only does it meet all the criteria of the Asher&Lyric study, but the Canadian government and especially Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are actively and proudly fighting for the rights and protection of the LGBT community. A beautiful country where you can be yourself in complete safety : gay, lesbian, trans, Bisexual & others.
Chile : In full development, notably on LGBT rights !
Contrary to what we might think, Latin American countries are more tolerant of the LGBT community than we might imagine. If in some countries the situation is still a bit limited, the majority is now welcoming to LGBT people.
Chile is recognized as the most LGBT friendly country in Latin America. 14th in the world ranking, marriage for all is allowed since 2021 and many rights are granted to LGBT people.
Uruguay : The most LGBT country advanced in South America !
In 17th position, Uruguay is the second most LGBT friendly country in South America. It grants the same rights as Chile, which makes it a pleasant country to live in for LGBT people.

Europe is the most LGBT friendly continent, the one that offers the most rights and protection to members of this community. We are only going to mention three countries but Europe is a safe bet if you want to expatriate or just go on vacation & encounters gay peoples.
Sweden : The lovers' paradise !
Sweden is the second country in the ranking. The Nordic country that legalized same sex marriage in 2009 is a reference in terms of destination if you want to be safe.
